Success is not a matter of luck, but of strategy. Over the course of five months, you will follow an intensive program designed to sharpen your business instincts, challenge your ideas, and push your boundaries.
We don’t give lectures or use textbooks. Instead, you will:
- Mastering business models with practical applications.
- Testing and validating your ideas in the market.
- Sharpen your entrepreneurial mindset with effectuation principles.
- Learn from top founders and investors through masterclasses.
- Gaining practical insights through company visits and feedback discussions with colleagues.

About BOOST YOUR BUSINESS
Boost Your Business is a joint program from NHL Stenden and Hanze University. A unique collaboration between two universities to give entrepreneurial students that extra edge. Through exchange programs like Kiesopmaat we also welcome students from other universities! So if you’re not a Hanze or NHL Stenden student; don’t worry, participants from other universities are welcome too!
The program is led by an external team of experienced business professionals, together with dedicated faculty members from both universities. Since the very first intake in 2013, we have grown into a vibrant network of more than 450 alumni and 60 dedicated partners and coaches—and we are proud of that!
Our ambition? To provide all entrepreneurial students with the tools they need to succeed. Already have a business, but not ready for your minor? No problem! We also offer a business development program for first- and second-year students. Through a series of targeted sessions, we help you take real steps forward with your business.

FAQ
Heb je brandende vragen? Geen zorgen, net als veel andere student-ondernemers. Gelukkig geloven wij dat er niet zoiets bestaat als een domme vraag! Hier vind je een aantal van de meest gestelde vragen en natuurlijk… de antwoorden!
Nee. Je moet al een bedrijf runnen of een goed ontwikkeld concept hebben voordat je je kunt aanmelden. Het programma is ontworpen om je te helpen groeien en iets te valideren dat al in beweging is, niet om vanaf nul te beginnen.
Je bent vijf maanden volledig gefocust op je bedrijf. Verwacht een mix van masterclasses, businessmodelsessies, bedrijfsbezoeken en individuele coaching. Het grootste deel van je tijd besteed je aan het ontwikkelen, testen en verbeteren van je idee in de praktijk.
Je krijgt persoonlijke coaching, advies van ervaren ondernemers en toegang tot een groot netwerk van partners. Dit betekent dat je niet alleen de bedrijfstheorie leert, maar ook praktische contacten, feedback en kansen krijgt om je startup te laten groeien.
Ja. De Noorderlingen is een minor van 30 ECTS, dus deze vervangt meestal je keuzevaksemester. Als je in je laatste jaar zit, is er ook de Accelerate-track waarmee je kunt afstuderen door je eigen bedrijf op te zette.
