ABOUT BOOST YOUR BUSINESS
Boost Your Business is a joint program from NHL Stenden and Hanze University. A unique collaboration between two universities to give entrepreneurial students that extra edge. Through exchange programs like Kiesopmaat we also welcome students from other Universities! So if you’re not a Hanze or NHL Stenden student; don’t worry, participants from other universities are welcome too!
The program is led by an external team of experienced business professionals alongside dedicated lecturers from both universities. Since the very first intake in 2013, we’ve grown into a vibrant network of over 450 alumni and 60 committed partners and coaches—and we’re proud of that!
Our ambition? To equip all entrepreneurial students with the tools they need to thrive. Already running a business but not yet ready for your minor? No problem! We also offer a business development track for first- and second-year students. Through a series of focused sessions, we’ll help you take real steps forward with your company.

Do you have burning questions? No worries, so do many other student entrepreneurs. Luckily we believe there is no such thing as a stupid question! Here you’ll find some of the most commonly asked questions and of course… the answers!
No. You need to already run a business or have a well-developed concept before applying. The program is designed to help you grow and validate something that is already in motion, not to start from zero.
You spend five months fully focused on your business. Expect a mix of masterclasses, business model sessions, company visits, and one-on-one coaching. Most of your time is spent developing, testing, and improving your idea in practice.
You get personal coaching, advice from experienced entrepreneurs, and access to a large network of partners. This means you’ll not only learn business theory, but also gain practical contacts, feedback, and opportunities to grow your startup.
Yes. De Noorderlingen is a 30 ECTS minor, so it usually replaces your elective semester. If you’re in your final year, there is also the Accelerate track that lets you graduate by building your own company.
